It's the feast of Blessed Pier Giorgio and since he is patron of this group we are putting together a last minute hike in his honor.
It's a quick hike along the cool American River before you head out to your fourth of July events!
It's a pleasent/ easy 3.2 mile trail loop.
There is an opportunity to stop in the river along the way!
8:30am: Mass at St. Mels (in Fair Oaks)- In Honor of Blessed Pier Giorgio
9:15 Carpool to park at Bannister Park
9:30: Hit the San Juan Rapids Trail
*12:30: Return to Cars (estimate return time)
*Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. *This trail is off Sunrise Blvd (near St. Mels) and closest to Highway 50.
*We most likely will not be getting lunch after because it is the 4th of July and we know you may have other obligations for food.
*Bring water, family and friends!
