Join us for our monthly speaker series at Monk's Cellar in Roseville. This month's speaker: Steve Patton.
When we compare the choice between an eternity of bliss in heaven with an eternity of torment in hell, we might suppose that it is the only choice in life that really matters. But that is a mistake. God wants to see not only if we want to be with him for eternity, but to what degree. We are not just to keep our relationship with him barely alive, but to make it grow in love. Why? Because the extent to which we develop our love for him in this life, will be the extent to which we will enjoy him forever in the next life.
In this month of May (dedicated to our Lady) we'll also take a look at the felicity of the Blessed Mother in Heaven - whose greatness surpasses that of all other saints - combined.
Steve Patton is the Associate Director for Family & Respect Life Ministries at the Diocese of Sacramento. This will be his third time speaking for Veritas.
As always, anybody is welcome to attend, Catholic or not.
