Fr. Alex Estrella was born in Oakland, CA and raised in Citrus Heights. His family attended St. Mel Parish in Fair Oaks where he was an active member. In 2008 he joined the diocese of Sacramento and finished his degree at Mt Angel College Seminary. In 2011 he began theological studies at Mt. Angel’s school of graduate theology. In 2012 he became an oblate of Mount Angel Abbey and was ordained a priest on the memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, June 4, 2016. Fr Estrella is currently assigned as the Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Parish, Lincoln, CA.
