All year long, you show up at Monk's Cellar every second Monday of the month to hear a (usually) decent Catholic presentation. As we enter Advent and the year's end draweth nigh, we turn the tables. On December 9th, nobody will be coming to hear a speaker. Everybody will be coming to see you.
The last Veritas of the year is stricktly social. Beer flows at 7pm. You can buy a little something delicious from the Monk's kitchen to share, and strike up a great conversation. Special guest appearances, and maybe even a little open mic antics will ensue. Campy Christmas sweaters encouraged - and a prize will be awarded for the worst of them. Bring some cash for the 50/50 raffle. And bring a friend. This is a chance for you to know some excellent humans more deeply.
As always, thanks to our good friends at the Monk's Cellar for welcoming us every month. The beer is free to you - sponsored by St. Joseph Marello parish. Anybody is welcome to attend, Catholic or not, married or single, between the ages of 18 and 39(ish). Do not attend if you are not a young adult. This, respectfully, a boomer-free Advent Party.
Most of all - as we wrap another year - thank you for making this group awesome. The friendships cultivated, the marriages made, the vocations sparked.... the Church is alive; you just have to look in the right place. It's all very good and worth celebrating. So do join us for this party. It won't be as fine without you present.
OPTIONAL: Bring an unwrapped toy to benefit a young person whose mother chose life. We will donate all toys collected to families helped through the Sacramento Life Center's great work.
