Join us as we kick off the year at Monk's Cellar with Fr. Matthew Spencer, OSJ.

St. Joseph, Protector of the Church

In a time of great crisis in the Church, Pope Blessed Pius IX declared St. Joseph the Patron and Protector of the Church. With so many crises facing the Church in our own times, it is more urgent than ever that we turn again to the Husband of Mary and implore his help. Fr. Matthew will explore not only the role of St. Joseph in the Church universal today, but will also reflect on why our own personal devotion to the earthly father of Jesus is so essential right now.

Fr. Matthew Spencer is an Oblate of St. Joseph and host of the Internationally broadcasted radio program, St. Joseph's Workshop. He has spoken at Veritas events many times to great acclaim - so don't miss this one.

As always, any young adult (18-39ish) is welcome to join us. If you are not a young adult, please do not join us in person. These events are often standing room only, so show up early for a good seat.

We want to thank our good friends at Monk's Cellar for providing us with the most excellent beer and food around. The best way to thank Monk's Cellar is by buying dinner at the event. It's really good, so win-win. The beer is free to you and generously supplied by St. Joseph Marello Parish. Please spread the word - newcomers are always welcome.

Here's the Facebook Invite.

NB - do not rely on our Facebook invites for an accurate number of attendees. Our last event had 14 "attending" Facebook Rsvp's and over 80 actually attended.
